Privacy Policy

Last updated November 1, 2026

This policy covers the divernote app on the App Store, the website at divernote.com and its waitlist. divernote is made by Kyle Boas, an individual developer based in the United States ("I", "me"). Questions go to privacy@divernote.com.

The iPhone and iPad app

The notes, tasks, documents and projects you write in the App Store app stay on your device, in the app's own storage, and are included in your device's backup if you have backups turned on. The app has no account, no analytics and no advertising, and it doesn't send what you write to me or to anyone else. When you install an extension, the app asks GitHub or jsDelivr for that extension's files, which shows them your IP address and the extension you asked for. Nothing else goes to them. Links in the app open in your browser. Deleting the app deletes its notes from your device.

What I collect on the website

If you join the waitlist, I store your email address and the time you joined. That's all. Your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated sign-ups and isn't stored. The site sets one cookie, divernote_seen, for 90 days, which only remembers that you've seen the landing page. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How I use it

I use your email only to tell you when divernote's early access is ready. I don't sell it, share it for marketing or add it to any other list. Every email I send will include a way to unsubscribe.

Hosting

The site and the waitlist are hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details to serve pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. Data may be processed in the US and other countries.

Retention and your choices

I keep your email until early access and launch announcements are done or you ask me to remove it, whichever comes first. To leave the list, see what I hold or have it deleted, email privacy@divernote.com from the address you signed up with. I'll respond within 30 days. You join on the basis of your consent and can withdraw it at any time. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or California), you may have further rights, including complaining to your local data protection authority. I don't sell or share personal information.

Children

The waitlist isn't meant for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU and UK). If you think a child has signed up, email me and I'll delete the address.

Changes

If this policy changes, I'll update the date at the top. If a later version of the app adds sync or anything else that sends your data off your device, this policy will say so first.
